One of our most advanced TiO2 extenders is the Socal UP-G product, an ultra-fine precipitated calcium carbonate with a unique morphology that fosters effective TiO2 reduction at the highest level of opacity and brightness.

Used in high PVC decorative matt paints, Socal UP-G increases dry opacity at low gloss. It can be used as a true alternative to TiO2 in many matt architectural paints, providing significant cost savings.

Used to replace 20% of the titanium oxide in paints, it shows no reduction in brightness or opacity, and used to replace 40% of the TiO2, it shows a slightly increased brightness and only a fractional reduction in opacity.
