Deep matting at very low loading 

If you’re producing decorative paints and need a deep matting agent, our OpTiMat range is designed to deliver high matting efficiency with low loading levels, while improving burnish and mudcrack resistance. 

OpTimat is derived from selected crude ore which is refined and engineered to create tight particle size distribution and distinctive 3D-shaped particles. This results in highly diffused light scattering that produces very low gloss and sheen levels in coatings while offering high whiteness.

OpTiMat is so effective that as little as 3% by weight in a matt paint formulation can give 85° sheen below 1.

Low loaded coatings using OpTiMat have a smooth surface texture. Mineral hardness contributes to excellent burnish and scratch resistance.
