ImerCare® Velluto
Enhanced opacity and homogeneity in cosmetics
Sourced in the French Pyrenees, ImerCare Velluto premium talc has been engineered using patented technology to obtain an innovative structure that provides enhanced opacity and homogeneity in cosmetics such as high coverage concealers, foundations and powders.
In pressed powders, ImerCare Velluto premium talc provides:
- High to full coverage
- A velvety, unctuous feel and smooth satin finish
- Good homogeneity and spreadability on skin
- Good cohesion and compressibility
Velluto premium talc makes an excellent base for cosmetic concealers requiring high or full coverage and homogeneity, including corrective and camouflage products. Unlike conventional talc grades, ImerCare Velluto premium talc can easily be used in wet processes where it prevents cracking. It also demonstrates high fracture resistance, improving the compressibility and cohesion of pressed powders and compacts.
All our cosmetic products are natural, high quality, chemically inert and offer good skin tolerance, and they are not treated with chemicals during processing. These attributes enable them to be used in cosmetic products that comply with cosmetic directive regulation (EC) n° 1223/2009.
ImerCare Velluto premium talc is also Cosmos approved – certificates of origin and additional documentation are available upon request.
Imerys Kaolins de Bretagne in southwest Brittany hosted an open day to commemorate its 120th anniversary, bringing together the general public, site employees and their families, customers, representatives of local associations, local elected officials and other important regional stakeholders. The day also marked another significant milestone for the company's future, since it coincides with the renewal in 2023 of the prefectural order authorizing Imerys to continue its mining activities at Kaolin de Bretagne for a further 28 years.
