Steanite® Prime

Steanite Prime is characterized by a high specific area and low surface energy. It exhibits an affinity for organic substances such as wood resins, colloidal substances, adhesives, inks, waxes and latex.

Depending on processing factors, fiber nature, and contaminant size, Steanite Prime can be introduced at different points in the process. Its chemical inertness ensures no process water pollution, disturbance of other process parameters, or reaction with other additives, facilitating operation in closed-water circuits.

Steanite Prime is effective for pitch-and-stickies control in both chemical and mechanical virgin pulp, deinked (DIP) and recycled fiber (RCF) pulp, coated brokes and barrier recycled packaging. It is ideal for printing grades, tissue paper, packaging grades including molded fibers and board.
