Enhanced insulation for cables and cable sheathing

Our PoleStar range is a high purity calcined kaolin, which is designed to be used in a wide range of rubber applications,  particularly for EPDM cable insulation and light-coloured extruded rubber profiles.

Wire & cable

The PoleStar range imparts excellent insulation properties in low- and medium-voltage power cables. Due to its low moisture pick-up, it is a particularly good choice for guaranteeing insulation properties under wet operating conditions.
Imerys’ PoleStar range also improves compression set, making it suitable for the production of rubber cable sheathing of flexible cable. 

EPDM extrusion

Our PoleStar products are valuable processing aids for extruded and calendered rubber where they confer a very smooth finish and excellent dimensional control due to the low die swell they impart.
