ImerCare 2C is a French calcium carbonate which confers high whiteness and opacity to end products without compromising consumer health.
Known for its whiteness, calcium carbonate provides both the opacity and whiteness solid cosmetic bases require without altering the quality of the final product.
ImerCare 2C has a specific particle shape
The scalenohedral shape of this calcium carbonate gives ImerCare® 2C its excellent opacity properties. Its high purity, well-ordered particle size and morphology makes it the opacity and whiteness agent of choice.
Performance of ImerCare® 2C in bar soaps
The opacity of a bar soap base containing 5% ImerCare® 2C is similar to a formulation containing TiO2. ImerCare® 2C also improves whiteness compared to a bar soap base.
As a neutral mineral, it has no impact on the organoleptic properties of the soap, such as foam creaminess, softness on skin, odor etc.
ImerCare 2C has a transparent life-cycle and is Cosmos approved

ImerCare 2C is produced at our Salin de Giraud site in France which is covered by 14001 environmental management and ISO 50001 energy management certification. Moreover, our Salin de Giraud site has been widely engaged in cultivating good neighbor relations through initiatives such as shared gardens, ecograzing for local livestock and renewable electricity projects.

ImerCare 2C complies with industry microbiological standards without resorting to irradiation. It is not treated with chemicals during processing.
It is Cosmos approved.
