Fondag® concrete solutions have been the aerospace materials of choice for space launch systems for over two decades. Fondag® Aerospace is a targeted upgrade to the original formulation’s abrasion resistant materials, improving durability and abrasion resistance, delivering a solution that can withstand the toughest conditions of the launchpad. 

Fondag® Aerospace has been tested within the flame impingement zone on over 50 rocket launches, proving its performance and durability credentials. Tested at 1,000°C (1,832°F), its improved abrasion resistant materials deliver a 60% increase in abrasion resistance compared to the original formula. Better abrasion resistance means less downtime for repairs, allowing customers to complete a greater number of launches between repairs.

The aggregate and the binder for Fondag® Aerospace are mineralogically the same, bolstering the product’s durability; by softening and re-hardening at a uniform rate, wear and tear is minimized, providing the ultimate in launch pad protection. 

Despite its impressive durability credentials, Fondag® Aerospace is easy to use, being mixed and placed the same way as conventional concrete. A lower heat of hydration than the original formula grants a greater working time: Fondag® Aerospace is fully hydrated and ready for launch in 24 hours or less.
