We offer a wide variety of products for the joint compound industry. When drywall is hung, it’s attached to studs with metal fasteners and a gap is left between individual sheets of drywall. This gap is then covered with tape and topped with a joint compound to form a smooth surface finish that conceals any gaps or fasteners. Our minerals reduce water demand, provide consistency in color, prevent shrinkage and cracking and reduce the cost of overall formations. 

In joint compound formulations, calcium carbonate provides a smooth surface finish and minimizes cracking. It has a consistent bright white color that allows for uniform paint application over the finished wall surface. 

Microspheres can be incorporated into joint compound formulations to provide lightweighting.
