Storage stability
Our range of calcium carbonates beat out the competition when it comes to storage stability for adhesives, caulks and sealants.
Superior storage stability
We have a range of natural solutions made from ground or precipitated calcium carbonate. Used in a variety of adhesives and sealants, they impart a better viscosity profile, keeping your products stable for longer.
We’ve tested our formulas against others on the market. For hybrid polymer systems, ImerSeal 50S premium precipitated calcium carbonate confers better storage stability than the competition, for low modulus silane-terminated polymer formulations. In medium modulus hybrid systems, Socal U1S2-G confers the best storage stability.
For moisture cured adhesive, final adhesive storage stability is impacted by the inherent moisture of the minerals present in the formulation. A mineral of low moisture content and lower moisture pickup is a key consideration in formulating moisture-sensitive adhesives and sealants, with our tests showing that premium coated ImerSeal calcium carbonate is more effective than standard coated carbonates.
If you’re working with industrial dextrin adhesives, LiquiCarb 90 calcium carbonate in slurry form gives the best storage stability performance due to the high particle fineness of the product. The higher the fineness, the lower the syneresis.
