The Position
US Coordinator -ShippingJob Summary
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Perform various tasks associated with: truck weights, delivering orders, filing paperwork, sending paperwork to NAC customer service, completing shipment reports each day for the plant(s), and managing the truck pick up schedule.
Create, pick up and deliver materials and maintain records of product shipments Finalize the truck shipment and pick up times and other logistics for the next business day and as required for days ahead.
Monitor capacity in SEP, each day to facilitate order entries by Customer Service Reps and to allow forward planning of demand and product line capacity.
Manage capacity requests for their plant(s) in a timely manner, check the available capacity in SEP and if necessary check with the shipping manager before approving the request. Alert the Shipping Manager and/or the Production Manager of requests that may impact other planning and capacity requirements.
Advise all necessary managers of change requests and rush orders verbally and by email.
If required by Customer Service, communicate with customers or carriers directly to advise them of ready times and other logistical and planning details.
Process the BOL for all shipments and deliver such orders after receiving correct weights. BOL must be printed before a rail shipment is released from the plant.
Help to manage inventory requirements associated with SAP
Help to perform tasks and requirements associated with the processing of orders in SAP
Communicate and instruct hourly workforce
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Attributes Requirements:
Professional demeanor.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing documents materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Must be extremely organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (gmail, sheets, docs, etc.)
Good analytical skills required.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Minimum requirement of 2 – 3 years of logistics, production, or customer service support experience in a manufacturing environment.
High School diploma required.
Experience with SAP
Wage Range: $25 - $28/per hour
