The Position
Logistics Manager, MexicoJob Summary
Job Summary
● Lead logistics strategy and operational excellence
● Manage 2 direct reports
● Drive Freight P&L performance
● Support SAP implementation
● Lead in-house freight forwarding
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
●Collaborate closely with the sales teams to enhance opportunities for
commercial growth.
●Lead monthly Freight P&L reviews, outline key drivers and actions
●Support end-of-month closing activities
●Evaluate logistics solutions and total cost
● Coach and develop direct reports
● Examine business processes to identify opportunities for continuous
improvement and simplification.
● Identify constraints, perform root cause analyses, and develop solutions,
implement, and track their effectiveness.
●Collaborate with purchasing, finance, compliance, sales, customer
service, freight forwarding teams, and customers.
● Promote a culture of safety and people first
●Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Skills and Attributes Requirements
● 5+ years of management-level experience in logistics, supply chain,
or manufacturing
● A composed and objective approach, combined with a customer-
focused leadership style
● Economic and analytical acumen
● Experience implementing actionable KPIs
Education/Experience Requirements
● Management experience with direct reports and P&L responsibility
● Excel proficiency
● Process improvement and SOP implementation
● SAP implementation and use experience
● Working knowledge of truck, rail, ocean, and warehousing
● Undergraduate degree in business management, supply chain,
engineering, or finance
Personal requirements
● Fluency in both English and Spanish
● Entrepreneurial self-driven mindset
● Leadership and interpersonal soft skills
● Flexibility and attention to detail
● Travel up to 15%- 25% in Mexico and US
