The Position
Mining Co-Op-2Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fieldwork Support:
- Assist in conducting geological data collection, field surveys and assessments.
- Support core drilling projects by collecting ore samples from designated sites for laboratory analysis.
- Document geological features and site conditions in field notebooks and digital formats.
2. Data Collection and Analysis:
- Help compile and analyze geospatial data using geological mapping software (e.g., GIS).
- Support the preparation of geologic cross-sections and maps to visualize kaolin deposits, if needed.
- Participate in data entry and management for ongoing resource evaluation projects.
3. Laboratory Assistance:
- Aid in the preparation and analysis of collected samples in the lab.
- Collaborate with senior geologists to perform mineralogical assessments and tests.
- Contribute to the documentation and interpretation of laboratory results.
4. Research and Reporting:
- Contribute to the drafting of reports and presentations summarizing findings.
- Maintain accurate records of all research and data collection activities.
5. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with geologists, engineers, and other team members to support project goals.
- Attend team meetings, providing updates on assigned tasks and collaborating on problem-solving initiatives.
