Citizen Development & Data Analytics Specialist

Job Summary

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Citizen Development & Data Analytics Specialist to spearhead our organization's citizen development initiatives and data analytics capabilities. This role will be instrumental in empowering our employees to become citizen developers, leveraging our no-code/low-code solution, QuickBase, to create innovative solutions that drive business value.

Responsibilities

Citizen Development Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive citizen development strategy aligned with our organization's digital transformation goals.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage citizen development to streamline processes, improve decision-making, and enhance customer experiences.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation, encouraging employees to embrace citizen development practices.

Solution Development:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective QuickBase solutions.

  • Design, develop, and implement custom applications within QuickBase to automate processes, streamline workflows, and improve data management.

  • Ensure the quality, performance, and scalability of QuickBase solutions.

Governance & Security:

  • Establish governance guidelines and best practices to ensure data security and compliance.

  • Monitor citizen developer activities to identify potential risks and take corrective actions.

Data Analytics & Visualization:

  • Advanced support / coordination of business uses cases on Google Data Studio (dashboard & analytics), Google Big Query, Google Sheets (advanced formulas), Google Forms, Google Apps Script

  • Design, develop, and maintain data visualizations and dashboards that are easy to understand and actionable.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering

  • Working experience in IT (>2 years)

  • Fluent or native English speaker

  • Conversant in French would be advantageous

  • Strong knowledge of low-code/no-code development (Quickbase or similar platform)

  • Experience in Citizen Development

  • Knowledge of Workflow management

  • Coding Skills 

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate in a global team

  • Able to work in a global multicultural work environment 

  • Passion for innovation and a drive to empower others

Desirable

  • Programming skills in JavaScript and/or Google Apps Script or other similar development languages 

  • Google Lookerstudio and Bigquery experience

  • Knowledge in Google Sheets (advanced formulas, charts, pivot tables, data formatting, collaboration features)

  • Knowledge of Web development (HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript)

  • Knowledge of Drupal

  • Experience of working within a culturally diverse global company
