Job Summary

As IT Infrastructure Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects, working closely with global cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of IT Infrastructure, project management methodologies, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively collaborate with project stakeholders on a global scale.

Your primary focus will be on IT network, cloud and security projects, technical infrastructure deployment or improvement projects (such as deployments, obsolescence management, infrastructure upgrades) ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance, delivering value to the organization. 

As an IT Infrastructure Project Manager at IMERYS, you will work in a global environment as part of a highly motivated team with a focus on value delivery and continuous improvement. You will manage and participate in high-impact projects/programs that enable business endeavors and promote the adoption of new technologies. 

Responsibilities 

  •  Manage and participate the end-to-end lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects with a focus on:

    • IT network &  telecom projects, unified communications

    • IT container & virtualization, move to cloud (AWS) projects

    • Infrastructure network & application separation projects

    • Technical obsolescence and consolidations

    • Site assessments and upgrades

  • Prepare and/or participate in the definition of project objectives, scope, deliverables & collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, success criteria in alignment with the business goals

  • Responsible for the project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling and close

  • Responsible for preparing the detailed scope of works, assessing Infrastructure requirements of business requests,  coordinating the technical design and specifications

  • Develop the planning documentation such as work breakdown structure, project schedule, resources, and project budget

  • Continuously monitor and control the project(s) progress, budget, project members engagement to ensure the on-time, on-budget delivery and the quality of projects outputs & deliverables

  • Manage change control, assess risks & prepare mitigation actions with impact analysis for informed decision making

  • Manage project work and relationships with the project supplier(s) throughout the project lifecycle

  • Manage the project outcomes transition to the Operations teams, and release to the end-users

  • Report project progress and status to project stakeholders and senior management as required

  • Act as Infra task leader in business-driven programs, managing the Infrastructure scope of works

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies in IT infrastructure technologies 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the project management function.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Project Manager in the IT Infrastructure, network and cloud domain, minimum 3-5 years

  • Track record in delivering projects on time, within budget, meeting quality standards and objectives

  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure systems, security and architectures, and cloud, preferably AWS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Project management certification is highly desirable, PMP preferably

  • Knowledge and experience with Waterfall, Agile and/or hybrid delivery methodologies

  • ITIL certification and familiarization with the IT Service Management framework is desirable

  • Fluent English speaker with professional-level written and verbal communication, presentation and technical writing skills

  • Knowledge of French would be advantageous

  • Capability to manage & collaborate with global cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all organizational levels

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
