The Position

Job Summary
Learning the company’s logistics, implementing SAP, and assisting in improving best practices within the whole process of through to logistics.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Identify and document the best practices for loading and unloading bulk trucks and railcars (PD, Tank, Sparger, Covered Hopper).
Travel to local sites (SYL, MGK) to observe rail car loading.
Produce best practice job aids that will be used to train operators at the sites that include pictures, videos, flowcharts and written instructions
Develop a database for railcar maintenance data to help us better manage our fleet.
Document historical maintenance costs by car so we have a clear view of maintenance costs by car type and location
Determine best tool to use for the database
Document SOPs for database maintenance
Identify cars with unusually high maintenance charges and where we are at risk of early car retirement
Populate all lane rates in Princeton to ensure data integrity
Proactively identify where we have missing lane rates and might be short invoicing customers.
Work with Purchasing and Logistics teams to insure rates in Princeton are accurate

Education/Experience Requirements
Degree in supply chain, engineering or other quantitative fields
