The Position
Bagger/ Placer Operator-1Job Summary
Department: Packaging & Shipping
Reports to: Packaging & Shipping Supervisor
Purpose of Position:
To operate bagger and bag placer in a safe and productive manner in order to meet customer requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Operate a bagger to fill customer orders.
Calibrate scales to fit ISO requirements.
Keep records of shift production.
Work cooperatively in a team related environment.
Work in a safe manner, keeping the work area clean.
Other duties as required and assigned.
Machines- Equipment- Involved:
Bagger, Bag Placer, and Forklift.
Working Conditions:
Must wear personal safety and health protection including head, eye, and footwear.
Must be able to work in all local weather conditions.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
Qualifications:
Requires the ability to read, write and perform basic math on a High School level.
Verbal communication skills with comprehension skills are required.
Knowledge of working machinery is preferred but not required.
Skills Requirement:
Must work with minimal supervision (self-directed) and function as a productive team member.
Must be able to comply with verbal and written work instructions and perform to meet production requirements.
Must have good listening and verbal communications skills.
Basic computer skills are required.
