Processing Operative

Location: Newton Abbot

Salary: £27,676 per year (inclusive of shift allowance)

Hours of work: 37.5 per week, 10.00pm – 6am Sunday to Thursday (finishing Friday morning)

The job role:

The processing operative is a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment? Join our team at the Heathfield Plant and play a key role in our manufacturing operations while ensuring health, safety, and quality standards are met.

Operate Attritor Mills and IBC bagging line
Bagging the ball clay
Bulk milling
Support shredding operations
Safely operate mobile plant equipment – front end loading shovel & Forklift
Meeting production targets
Perform Level 1 maintenance tasks and report equipment faults
Carry out site cleaning and promote good housekeeping practices
Follow health and safety guidelines

You will:

Bring motivation, drive and enthusiasm as this is a very hands-on role. In addition, you’ll:

Hold Full and valid UK driving licence
Possess a Front-end loading shovel or Forklift certificate
Be from a production background (desirable)
Understand health and safety in the workplace
Have the willingness to learn and drive other mobile plant equipment
Be a team player
Possess basic numeracy, literacy and IT skills
