Job Summary

MISSIONS

  • Reports to the BA QEHS Director, alongside the BA Industrial Center of Excellence, leads systematically the Health and Safety practices towards best-in-class at the operations/facilities across Europe; shares strong accountabilities and delivers high standard of performances via partnership and collaboration;

  • Lead the annual Safety Culture Maturity matrix review together with the BA health & safety network; benchmark the sites at different stages and develop common “means” to speed up the cultural transformation towards an interdependent mode at priority sites;

  • Consolidate and track health & safety performance data (both KPIs & action plans) for management reports, regular business review, visual & smart communication to the operations; and conduct data-mining to evolve timely the focal programs according to the changing health & safety vulnerabilities;

  • Supports the Hub Directors and site (E)HS Managers in the region to oversee the implementation of the Imerys Safety System and pertinent continuous improvement projects, to positively impact the H&S culture at plants/quarries/S&T facilities with focal initiatives and programs;

  • Develops or optimizes the means and the implementation plans to drive compliance and cultural continuous improvements on health and safety targeting an injury-free workplace; in case of any reportable accident / incident, conducts or peer reviews the investigation and root cause analysis, and make close loop follow-up of the improvement action plans with the sites;

  • Animates the regional H&S community with clear rituals and routines; build and develop the network with dynamic engagement, high standard of training and communication; shares and replicates the best practices into the shop floors;

  • Organizes the BA cross-review programs in the region, contributes to the BA initiatives by supporting other regions on specific tasks or projects; and participates the Group H&S-related auditing program or other cross-functional team per nomination by the BA industrial management;

  • Promote, share and replicate good/best practices crossing the operations to positively impact the operations to embrace new ideas and speed up the learning for consistently delivering high standard of performance on H&S;

  • Support the dialogues and meetings with regular update of H&S information to the workers’ council of pertinent legal entities in France and collaborate the improvement of pertinent wellbeing and health programs in partnership with human resources team;

  • Liaisons with both internal and external stakeholders as a good ambassador, such as the internal working groups, work councils in specific entities, industrial associations, authorities, etc.; facilitates pertinent communication and collaborative initiatives on H&S and corporate social responsibilities;

  • Supervises one direct team member; be a role model on EHS, influence, engagement, diversity and collaboration.
