The Position
Pilot Plant Project EngineerJob Summary
The purpose of the role is to lead the implementation of improvements to IBL’s Pilot Plant for the development and scale-up of novel process technologies for extracting lithium from micaceous granites. The role is accountable for the successful delivery of projects within the Process team, enabling the execution of scale-up trials and pilot operations and growth of the Pilot Plant facilities to support a growing team.
The role will support the Process Engineering team and the Continuous Pilot Plant Project Manager in increasing the capability of the IBL Pilot Plant to operate in semi-continuous and fully continuous operation. This will include equipment specification, assessment of the current assets for re-use, commissioning plans, operations team training and operability assessments.
The role will act as key site contact for improvement projects, ensuring that interruptions to pilot plant availability are minimised during construction and commissioning activities.
This will involve dialogue with external parties, design engineers, and project stakeholders in defining, specifying the process technology that will deliver de-risked technology to the project.
