The Position

Logistics Team Leader & SAP Referent

Job Summary

Role :

  • Supervise the Logistics team to achieve and secure smooth supply. 
  • Support team, customer service and OPS by directing logistics team tasks with transport, shipping, etc…of our goods 
  • Focus and execute on order fulfillment as well as “first” support management. (preventing team and supply from falling behind)
  • Develop and maintain SAP knowledge. (support overall performance and efficiency by developing SAP performance)
  • Support and maintain that Safety is always taken into account in all logistics activities (employees and subcontractors) 
  • Assuring short response time. Proactively, smooth & efficient communication with all stakeholders (Team, OPS, OPERA, CS, Purchasing, etc…) to share information.
     

Responsabilities :

  • In charge of our daily logistics order execution. (All mode of transport)
  • Support the Logistics manager in the coordination of the teams activities. 
  • Monitor & Support the team in their daily tasks and duties. 
  • Be the first point of contact for the Logistics team for operational issues and support in solving them. Escalate to the Logistics Manager if the problem is critical and cannot be solved by the team within a certain timeline.
  • Be a facilitator in the relationship with the different stakeholders in order to ensure a smooth collaboration.
  • Solve SAP operational issues on TM ERP, escalate to IT support when necessary.
  • Participate to the continuous improvement of SAP processes and be proactive in proposing solutions for identified pain points.
  • Be the referent point of contact in case of absence of the manager, escalate the issue when necessary.
  • Ensure a safe environment for all the employees and subcontractors.
  • Being an key player and efficient backup for all tasks and duties within the logistics eam.
  • As a SAP referent, makes sure that all the processes / functionalities / data are well available in SAP to ensure a smooth business continuity (Transport & Warehouse Management scope)
  • Support team users to be sure that the knowledge is well anchored and ensure additional support. (And apply the SAP good practices. (Potential newcomers included)
  • Point of contact for each new Logistics IT evolution: coordinate with IT team the specification requirements description, tests the development and train the users. Proposes improvements in SAP to ease the life of the users and therefore interacts with the other teams in charge of automation (SAP, TW, GTT automation, Robotic Process Automation, …). 
  • To support all STEP initiatives (Saving Together through Excellence in Purchasing) and
  • participate actively in all requested projects.

Accountability :

  • Key interfaces: strong partnership to be built with (i) team (ii) Logistics Manager, (iii) Operations, (iv) Opera (v) Back Office.
  • Co-responsible for maintaining a safe personal environment and acting safely at all times.
  • Fluidity with SAP Transport Management module. (knowledge sharing/training and proper usage)
  • Log claim management.
     

Competencies and Experience :

  • Fluent in English & French. (Dutch and/or German is an extra asset)
  • Managerial capabilities to facilitate a team
  • Strong customer orientation and business sense 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with Customer Services, Operations, Imerys logistic suppliers
  • Advanced SAP S4 Hana Transport Management module knowledge & Ability to work with other software & tools.
  • Good understanding of a logistics organisation
  • Good communication skills with ability to address a topic at different hierarchical levels
  • Rigorous compliance with procedures and processes 
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage priorities
  • Analysis, problem solving and result oriented
  • Reactivity and stress management during peaks of activity
  • Team spirit
  • 5-7 years experience in logistics, Supply Chain.
