Location: Furzebrook, Wareham, Dorset
Salary: £33,828 per annum
Hours of work: 47.5 hours a week, working 9.5 hours a day: Monday to Friday 7:00am - 5:15pm

What you’ll be doing
As a Quarry Operative you will be responsible for operating an Excavator to select pit grade clay from our quarries in Dorset, ensuring all equipment is operated in a safe and efficient manner.
In addition, you’ll:
Carry out equipment safety checks at the beginning of each shift
Ensure that excavation and tipping areas are well maintained following local site rules
Maintain quarry haul roads
Be operating the equipment at maximum productivity and minimum waiting time
Maintain site drainage to prevent pooling of water, and divert water to the quarry slump
Work closely with local site supervisors to deal with any issues as they arise
Keep in close contact with the team using the in-cab radio

What we are looking for:
We are looking for someone who has preferably worked within a Quarry or Agricultural environment, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience of operating an Excavator.
In addition, you’ll have
You must be able to legally drive in the UK
Hold a recognised industry standard proof of competence for operating an excavator; CITB, CPCS, RTITB, or equivalent
Effective communication and problem-solving skills
Applicants must hold the right to work in the UK
