Job Description Summary
[ Purpose & General Characteristics ]
Identify business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs.
Turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions
[ Representative Activities ]
Participate to BI projects, with a strong focus on trade, import / exports statistics
Analyze business processes and requirements
Assist business with data collection and modeling
Create Reports and Data Visualizations
Create and maintain documentation including requirements, design and user manuals
Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies with BI solutions
Identify development needs in order to improve and streamline operations
Collaborate with business users
Job Responsibilities:
Competition Monitoring :
Identify and consolidate import / export statistics into a database for all major products
Conduct competitive research and analyze benchmarking data
Monthly overview (dashboard) and Quarterly Deep Dive / presentation on risks & opportunities (volumes and pricing)
Market trends:
Gather and interpret internal & external information with industry analysts and subject matter experts to identify customer challenges and industry trends and uncover growth opportunities for the 3 following markets: Refractory Producers, Abrasives, Building Solutions & Infrastructure Solutions
Create presentations to provide market and customers insights to the whole commercial team
Monitor and forecast marketing and market trends
Education & Experience:
Master’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Marketing or MBA
First experience with quantitative work (data analysis & market intelligence, conducting market research), with dashboards & reports, ideally in the B2B / industrial marketing experience
Experience of working in multinational teams, across geographies, with a preference in the industrial environment. Be able to work well independently and with the broader team
Numerical, logical reasoning and analytical skills.
High level of attention to detail and follow through
Business acumen
Flexibility in working approach and capacity of delivering within short deadlines.
High autonomy in conducting works
Curiosity for new subjects
Strong interpersonal skills
Able to quickly adapt to IT tools like CRM (Sales Force), ERP (SAP etc), Business Intelligence tools (Qlikview, Qliksense) and other data tools
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite / Google sheets/Excel and visual representation with Powerpoint / Google Data Studio
Languages: Fluent in English ; Any additional language is a plus
The successful candidate will be a collaborative professional, very comfortable doing detailed numerical market analysis, as well as creating presentations that synthesize complex information and tell a compelling story with data. The candidate must have a good understanding of our business segments, products and technologies.
