Job Title: Hub Port/Terminal MANAGER
Location: Home-Based, Eastern US
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning, administering, and reviewing the operations on hub port terminals to optimize resource use and minimize costs; manages all aspects of a material handling terminal & maintenance. Supervises the unloading and ground storage recommendations & plans and oversees key production initiatives targeting improvements in safety, regulatory compliance, improved equipment utilization, budgetary considerations/requirements & customer satisfaction.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for Environment, Health & Safety, and Sustainability across the Port Terminal and ensuring safety and best-in-class standards are achieved
Responsibility areas are limited to the warehouses and screening production areas. Areas of production used for processing the material are out of scope, if applicable.
Manages all operational aspects of the Port Terminal, including the maintenance and upkeep of the warehouses & equipment used for screening the material loaded for customer distribution, including Environment, Health & Safety, warehousing, industrial projects / CAPEX, process improvement, energy consumption optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives, in close coordination with Imerys CoE
Ensures products are loaded and delivered on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.
Develop the Site industrial plan in coordination with the Operations Director, Industrial Team, Business Planning / Supply Chain, and with the support of CoE
Key interfaces: ensures effective coordination with Operations Director, Business Planning / Supply Chain team, Imerys CoE & Purchasing teams, BA Segments, and is supported by Finance & HR Business Partners.
Leader of Employee Engagement, ensuring ALL team members are engaged in their work and feel valued and connected to the business unit.
Change Management Advocate: assess the current status and seek to implement improvement and change in policies, processes, procedures, and mindsets needed to enhance productivity, efficiency, quality, and overall work culture.
Work closely with the supply chain manager at bulk terminals (responsible for the logistics and unloading of the shipments)
Manage the BPI terminal supervisor to ensure the quality and loading of customer orders.

ACCOUNTABILITY:
Conformance to EHS audit and target criteria
Be responsible for safety and health throughout the terminal
Equipment Utilization (Cumulative Scheduled / Operational Downtime), targeting 95% efficiency
Performance Efficiency (Actual Output / Design Output), targeting 95% efficiency
Tracked & trended consumable usage variances in line with flex models
Customer Service targeting on-time delivery compliance of 95%
Performance to Budget / ForecastLead production operation of a port terminal
Develop and deliver on business plans to meet port terminal commitments
Oversee terminal budget
Coordinate with carriers on the delivery of the product
Led, develop, and implemented strategic and operational planning
Supervise shipping process and inventory management
Monitor Computerized automation systems
Coordinate and distribute products to maximize efficiency
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical requirements of this position include reading, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling, climbing, repetitive motions, bending - stooping, standing for prolonged periods, toleration to heights, toleration of high temperatures, ability to enter confined spaces, balancing, pushing, pulling and ability to operate all hand tools and lift up to 50 lbs.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree plus three years experience (including Supervisory experience) OR
- At least five years of experience in manufacturing management, understanding of a customer-oriented organization
Experience with Lean Manufacturing
Recognized management skills (ability to manage teams)
Knowledge of all operations aspects (Safety, Logistics, Quality, Process, Capex…)
