The Position

Business Development Director - Ceramics & Building Products EMEA & APAC

Job Summary

-Assist the Ceramics & Building Products EMEA & APAC Market VP in the definition of the Market strategy
-Lead the business development strategy agenda  for the Market
-Oversee the right execution of a pipeline of projects to accelerate the market growth from an organic & non-organic standpoint
-Define the right approach of collaboration involving internal resources and external stakeholders

Key responsibilities:

-Lead the definition of the growth strategy for C&BP EMEA,  in close collaboration with sales directors, the marketing team the S&T teams, the Product managers and Operations process team, M&A
-Ensure the strategy definition and execution is reflecting the sustainability targets and ambitions of the market 
Is accountable for the successful execution of a defined pipeline of development projects for the market : M&A, key partnerships, capex, disruptive or complex innovation projects, new business models. Lead directly key development projects. Ensure coordination and work in close collaboration with the BA -Strategy & corporate M&A team
-Participate in the creation of investment plans as well as non-organic growth projects. Participate to the operational CAPEX review and ensure alignment with the market strategy
-Participate to  the preparation of 5Y strategic plan and is accountable for its execution
-Define priorities and ensure constant follow-up of the innovation project pipeline, in coordination with S&T director, Marketing, Technical and Sales Directors 
-Is a  member of the C&BP EMEA & APAC management team

Accountability:

-Definition of the Strategy & Business Development for C&BP EMEA & APAC and following action plans
-Long term business growth & profit optimization  
-Alignment of the business with the sustainability targets
 

Competencies & experience:

-Strategic mindset 
-Hands-on experience in Business Development & Sustainability
-Good understanding of P&L data and financial modeling as key tools to understand and describe the new business profitability
-Autonomy : Has defined authority and accountability for actions and decisions 
-Team player : Thrives on collaboration and productive professional relationships, communicates effectively with all levels in the organization
-Business skills: Strong business acumen, comfortable with financial analysis & valuation
-Analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking : is able to analyse complex business data, derive and clearly communicate insights, & propose solutions / action plans. 


Ideal background/ experience
-MBA or Master of Science in Management or Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Mining, Ceramics.
-10-15 years of work experience in highly successful business development and strategy roles, both in consulting/investment banking and in industry 


Typical profile
-Senior Manager of Strategy / Business Development Manager / Marketing Director / Sustainability - CSR Director
-Project manager in tier-1 consulting firm 
-Experienced Project manager in industry
