Resistant Concrete – New Quick-Drying, No-Cement Variety

In Monolithic Refractories, the market success of the Quick Dry (QD™) products was confirmed in 2011. This product range, which allows for quicker and safer installation in high-temperature industries (steel, casting, aluminum, cement, etc.), was therefore broadened in 2011.

Specifically designed to meet the need of the Foundry industry for safer installation, CALDE™ CAST G NC 66S24 QD™ is a particularly safe solution. Unlike all other products, it does not release any hydrogen during installation. During dry-out, conventional refractory castables release up to 20 m3 hydrogen per ton, requiring stringent safety measures to prevent the risk of explosion.
